Task Force

AEQUIP is a group of professionals that combines hard skills, ranging from electronic bioengineering to artificial intelligence and management, with a common purpose of continuously redefining methods, technologies, and achievable objectives.

Filippo Molinari
Filippo Molinari
Full Professor of electronic and computer bioengineering at the Politecnico di Torino, a lifelong algorithmist and editor in chief of the Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine journal, Filippo is the undisputed (and unquestionable) scientific reference point of AEQUIP.
Massimo Salvi
Massimo Salvi
Ph.D. in bioengineering, engaged day and night in the development of algorithms for pathological imaging, Massimo is the operative-conceptual counterpart of Professor Molinari. He doesn’t talk a lot but enough to coordinate the team of AEQUIP developers with expertise and determination.
Orazio Pennisi
Orazio Pennisi
An (almost) always smiling Sicilian, a management engineer with inexhaustible energy, Orazio coordinates the management operations and contributes to the business and strategy definition. He guides the rest of the team’s work by marking time, remembering priorities, and balancing the books.
Emilio Paolucci
Emilio Paolucci
Emilio is a Full Professor at the Politecnico di Torino, currently Director of the Alta Scuola Politecnica and ex Vice-Rector of Technology Transfer at Politecnico di Torino. An expert in Entrepreneurship, Start-up and Strategy, Emilio was among the first to support the development of the project and he continues to believe that AEQUIP is based on an excellent technological foundation and has a huge potential to succeed at a business level.
Alessandro Mogetta
Alessandro Mogetta
From the hills of the Marche region to the Politecnico di Torino! Once he achieved his Master’s degree in biomedical engineering, Alessandro joined the AEQUIP developers team. He has been devoting his time and passion to the implementation of algorithms for Digital Pathology.
Nicola Michielli
Nicola Michielli
Mathematician by passion and not by choice, Nicola has always been looking for a balance between specialization vs multitasking. Born in Puglia, he received his PhD degree from the Politecnico di Torino. He is focused on the development of image processing algorithms for histological analysis based on mathematical techniques.
Manuela Scotto
Manuela Scotto
Passionate about image processing and mathematical techniques applied to medical image processing, shy but not when it comes to work, Manuela is a biomedical engineer of the developers team.
